I came across Bishop Woodcraft on Instagram looking at a particular staircase. I called with a random question and right away I was able to speak to the owner – Shem Bishop. Shem is a wealth of knowledge, he was gracious with his time and explained things in great detail to my team and I. We are complete strangers in a different state. Showed up on time, was professional, familiar with my railing project, asked a few questions and had it finished in one day. It looked amazing! I wanted a very custom home with a unique style. I carefully selected materials, fixtures, contractors and Architects. Only the best available where selected. I personally met with each contractor on the scope of work and what the expected outcome would be after the home was designed. From the first meeting with Shem of Bishop Woodcraft I knew I had someone who had great talent and listened to my needs. Shem contributed a great deal to the design and construction of the stair way, a focal point and one of the major architectural features in the house. Shem guided a team that brought together a breathtaking stairway.
I couldn’t have been happier with Shem and his crew. Their careful craftsmanship and construction techniques were fun to watch as they turned straight wood into curves and bends you would not have thought possible. Shem was constantly in contact or on the job checking on quality and coordinating with the contractors and myself. He always kept his promises and his follow through was terrific.
Now that the house is complete the stairs are the main draw when I have company in. Everyone that comes to my house has to touch the handrail and walk up the sweeping steps to experience the sure pleasure of walking on something so artfully crafted… after they ask “how did they build these?”
I would definitely recommend Shem and his Company to anyone.

I loved working with Bishop Woodcraft! They were prompt to return my call, send someone to look at the work I needed done, and return to get the work done. Even during the Covid-19 pandemic, their response was much quicker than I anticipated and their work was exceptional…even for a perfectionist!

These guys are awesome! We feel like we got alot of bang for our buck by using these guys! We asked them to help us out with a custom stair rail. They came out and measured everything, built the railing, came back to make sure it fit correctly, took it back to paint and then came and installed. They were very thorough in their communication and set the expectations perfectly. Highly recommend!

Bishop Woodcraft is a great company! The customer service before hand, during and after was perfect! The final product (stairs and railings) was better than imagined. They did a custom job and made our home look beautiful! I would recommend them to everyone.
